On this page, you will find a list of several local Chicagoland organizations that regularly take interns. Pay attention to deadlines and details. For spring internships, you should plan to apply by mid-October.

HOT TIP

This is not a comprehensive list and you may be better off searching for organizations that match up well with your own interests.

FOR EXAMPLE: Have you heard about an arts organization doing a project that could use historical research skills? See if they need an intern! Is your alderperson promoting a bike lane in your ward and will historical research help support that cause? Reach out and offer your services! It’s great to be creative and entrepreneurial when applying the skills you’ve learned in the classroom.

If this sounds daunting, reach out to Megan or Rebecca and we will help you strategize.
